- Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of AfriConsultancy, our users, or the public.

Cross-border transfers: Where we transfer personal information outside South Africa, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by POPIA, including data processing agreements with recipients.

- Active candidates: Information is retained for up to 3 years from your last active engagement with AfriConsultancy, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
- Placed candidates: Basic placement records are retained for 5 years for audit and guarantee purposes.
- Employer records: Business records and communications are retained for 5 years in accordance with South African tax and commercial law.
- Website logs: Technical log data is retained for a maximum of 12 months.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.
5. Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correction: Request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected.
