About the role
As a face-to-face fundraiser, you will be the public face of Greenpeace in Mauritius — engaging members of the public in meaningful conversations about environmental issues and inspiring them to become regular monthly supporters. You will work across various outdoor locations including shopping centres, markets, and community events across the island.
What you’ll do
- Approach and engage members of the public in friendly, informative conversations about Greenpeace’s campaigns
- Inspire people to sign up as regular monthly donors through direct debit
- Represent Greenpeace’s values and brand with passion and professionalism
- Work towards individual and team sign-up targets
- Maintain accurate records and submit daily activity reports
What we’re looking for
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — confident speaking to strangers
- Genuine passion for environmental and social causes
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a positive attitude
- Fluency in either English or French (Creole an advantage)
- Previous sales, fundraising, or customer-facing experience is a plus — but not required
